CWJC seeks to equip women in a Christian context for life and employment. Through more than 200 certified sites across the nation, thousands of women each year gain self-confidence, purpose, direction, and hope for their future. CWJC ministries are bringing hope to women through Bible Study, one-on-one mentoring, new life skills and job readiness preparation.

Christian Women’s Job Corps® of Lee County was launched in the spring of 2007. Since that time, we have ministered to dozens of women, many of whom are now employed and on their own.

We offer two sessions per year (spring & fall). CWJC is open to any woman, regardless of her religious background, who desires the necessary skills and encouragement to achieve success in self-sufficiency. We offer our participants training through ten weeks (Monday – Friday, 8:15 am – 12: 15 pm) of intensive courses in Life Skills and Job Readiness.

Mentoring – a friend that will walk alongside as an encourager, prayer partner, sister-in-Christ for a six month period.

Networking through our contacts with area churches, agencies and programs to provide a comprehensive approach to meeting their individual needs such as childcare, housing, health, transportation and job training.

Each day the CWJC participants experience an academic and work type environment where life and job skills are taught and practiced. Here are the classes offered:

• Must desire a serious life change

• Must be willing to commit to the program

• Must be 18 years old

• Must be alcohol and drug free

• Have a High School diploma, GED, or pursuing GED
